Gump’s San Francisco

Gump’s San Francisco

Sleek, dark, and dapper!

about us

This luxury brand dates back to 1861, and even though time has brought about several changes to how the world works today, Gump’s has stayed true to its finesse in craftsmanship. This luxury home furnishing retailer has very humble beginnings – Gertrude Gump established a small business with her husband. They were later joined by two brothers, Solomon and Gustave.

Clean and Minimalistic

Initially pioneering the new world design and old war art – the brothers introduced the millionaires of California to exquisite art pieces they had never seen before. The business grew into a hub of exotic home furnishing pieces from a collection of mirrors and frames. The 1906 earthquake hit the store, but Solomon Gump’s son, Abraham Livingston – took the reins and brought the business back to life.

My studio is a collective of amazing people striving to provide best look & feel.

The store then stocked up in cultures freshwater pearls, precious gemstones, and finely crafted jewelry made from jade. Customers like Franklin D. Roosevelt and Sarah Bernhardt shot the store to the fame it deserved. Today, keeping up with its legacy, the business is home to an award-winning website and catalogue of a range of magnificently designed, sourced, or crafted products.
