Halston

Sleek, dark, and dapper!

Our History

Halston was founded by Roy Halston back in 1957 as a hat store named Magnificent Mile. Halston studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and decided to experiment with his designing skills by sewing hats for women. Already under the tutelage of his seamstress mother as a child, Halston grew up to be one of the most influential American designers of the 20th century.

Clean and Minimalistic

He got his major breakthrough in American fashion when he designed a pillbox hat for Jacqueline Kennedy, which she wore in her husband’s inauguration speech in 1961. Since then, Halston got famous for his clean cuts and minimalist designs, mainly centered on discotheque fashion.

My studio is a collective of amazing people striving to provide best look & feel.

He revolutionized how American women dressed in these places and only worked with modern materials like ultra-suede in designing flattering silhouettes. Some of his famous friends as well as clientele included Elizabeth Taylor and Liza Manelli. Halston, however, was not only known for its luxury appeal in clothing. It also produced some of the best-selling fragrances of all time.

Since then, the fashion house has gone through several ups and downs but has somehow maintained its exclusivity and luxury appeal to date. Netflix’s famous show ‘Halston’ was named and based on the true-life story of the designer. Today, the brand is headed by the Chief Creative Officer Robert Rodriguez and describes itself as a luxury lifestyle brand.

With a sweet combination of legacy and modern style, it mainly focuses on women’s ready-to-wear clothing. You will find the luxury brand more affordable than its French and Italian peers. However, its distinctive aesthetic continues to influence American fashion. Find Halston’s products on our website – just a click away.
