The Hunting World is unique as it is an American fashion brand made entirely in Italy. It mainly got famous due to its Battue bag made from Battue. It is a type of polyurethane nylon that makes for excellent bag material. The Battue bag turned out to be super functional due to its lightness and waterproofing characteristics. These bags quickly became an underground status symbol in outdoor fashion.

Hunting World was founded by Robert Lee, also known as Bob Lee, in 1964. Being an outdoor enthusiast and businessman, Lee discovered a lack of good quality durable bags that he could carry around. After returning to America from Africa in 1964, he founded the Hunting World in 1965. His love for adventure and the wild led him to create one of the few accessories and clothing brands dedicated to outdoor fashion and adventure.
