Luisa Tratzi graduated from the prestigious NABA in Milan with a degree in Fashion and Textile Design. After winning contests for cleverly crafted women’s wear – she decided to initiate her own footwear line. Hence, Luisa Tratzi was founded in 2013 to create new objects of desire. Luisa decided to offer premium Italian footwear designed with a balance of heritage and modernism.

What makes these handcrafted shoes stand out is the attention to detail and quality of the material used. A distinctive feature of every Tratzi pair of shoes is its soles made of leather dyed in barrels. They characterize innovative design techniques while embracing the Italian handcrafting legacy.
Any imperfections in the shoes in terms of leather patchiness, folds, or colors are seen as a special quality of the shoes – representing the craft that went into making them.
